Multi-Mode PHEV with a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission in Real-Life Driving Scenarios
Original language description
Our paper studies a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle equipped with Dedicated Hybrid Transmission and optimized specifically for the charge sustaining WLTC performance. Python based quasi-static simulation model of the DHT powertrain is combined with the Pontryagin´s Minimum Principle energy management strategy and was further enhanced to handle different optimization goals (energy consumption, CO2 emissions, and trip costs), SOC constraints, and additional control inputs. Simulation model was then tested and optimized using the different optimization goals on homologation WLTC driving cycle, and two different real-life scenarios, to assess the potential of SUV type vehicle with two different internal combustion engine concepts.
