ELIMINATION OF SPRINGBACK EFFECT AND RESIDUAL STRESS DURING ROLL FORMING PROCESS
Original language description
Springback and deformation due to release residual stress are applied in all cold forming processes, including roll forming technology. This article describes the causes of springback and residual stress from previous forming. In the experiment, behavior of these two effects was verified on oval tubes with dimensions 52.69 x 4.00 x 0.50 mm made from ferritic stainless steel AISI 444 (EN 1.4521). In the experiment have been proposed steps to reduce effect of springback and releasing of residual stress and it was achieved better process capability Cpk.
