Morphing wing concept is characterized by its ability to change shape while the surface of the wing remains smooth and continuous and as such offers advantages over conventional aircraft wings. This paper presents an aeroservoelastic model of a morphing airfoil using an unsteady potential flow method to capture the influence of the morphing airfoil on the surrounding flow.
