The presentation gives an overview of physic-based digital twin of machine tool used for process optimisation. The presentation shows histical development of molling techniques. Coupled model of feed drive and machine tool mechanical structure connected together with the control system core is the current presnted state. Implementation of the model for process optimisation is demonstrated on two practical use cases.
