Science on Safety and Security Is Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Discipline
Original language description
In the current period, the need for new scientific knowledge and scientific security activities organisation is significantly increasing. Professional research shows that security activities contain strong elements of social, especially legal, sociological, psychological, natural and technical, but also economic, managerial and informatics. Launched discussions on the status (or even merits) of security sciences require so that the discussion of their theoretical, methodological and social foundations may be preceded by at least a brief sketch of the origins of their constitution, gradual development and systemic integration into the system of existing scientific disciplines. The authors of the chapter present genesis, arguments and the latest findings in favour of shaping safety sciences.
