Original language description
The aim of this study is to find out suitable optical sensor to monitor the height of the welded layer with WAAM technology. A proposal was made to place the sensory systems on the robotic torch. The entire welding and measuring process was prepared in off-line simulation software. Based on the measured data and verification of measurement methodologies, it is possible to decide which of the sensory systems is suitable for feedback control of the WAAM process.
