Analysis of 3D Printing of Fiber Composites Using the FDM Method
Original language description
This experiment deals with analysis of mechanical properties of 3D printed specimens with fiber composites using FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) method. The test is focused on evaluation of printing parameters such as printing orientation, type of infill structure, filling percentage and material type on final mechanical properties. For this purpose, was used material Nylon containing carbon and glass fibers. Several samples of standard specimens were printed with different set up parameters and final mechanical properties were verified by tensile and three-point bending test. In the final stage of experiment was evaluated influence of each parameter on tensile and flexural characteristics.
