he aim of this project is to create prototypes of affordable benchmark kits for comparative control of mechanical surface pretreatments in a workshop environment. In the manufacturing process it is important to maintain the required mechanical pretreatment of the product surface. A quality and correct surface treatment is crucial to guarantee the desired lifetime of the applied anti-corrosion system. The visual or tactile comparison method using standards is a very inexpensive, quick, and relatively accurate method of instantly checking surface roughness.
