    The paper deals with the influence of different arc modes within the cold metal transfer (CMT) process on the arc current and voltage waveforms and geometry of wire and arc additively manufactured (WAAM) AA5087 aluminium alloy single layer deposits. The arc modes included conventional cold metal transfer (CMT), CMT pulse (CMT-P), and CMT cycle step (CMT-CS). The results showed that various current and voltage waveforms characterized the different welding modes during the deposition process. The influence of welding mode on the cross-section of single-layer bead was evaluated. The largest width (8.2 mm) was measured for the CMT weld bead, followed by the CMT-CS (7.6 mm) and CMT-P bead (7.3 mm). The highest value of the bead height was observed for the weld bead produced by CMT mode (3.3 mm), followed by the weld bead fabricated by CMT-P and CMT-CS modes (2.9 mm).
