Plasma hardfacing of cold forming tools
Original language description
The study deals with plasma hardfacing of cold forming tools, specifically hardfacing of semi-finished segments for bending presses. The study aims to hardface semi-finished segments for bending presses using suitable materials. The materials used for the experiment are austenitic steel SZW 5049 (Hadfield type) and high speed steel HSS 23. An evaluation of the quality of the resulting hardfacing layers in terms of geometry and qualityof the metallurgical connection is carried out. The hardfacing layers are analysed in terms of mechanical properties and structure.
