Aeroacoustic simulation of human phonation considering contact
Original language description
The contributuion will focus on the numerical simulation of the flow induced sound generated by the vibration of vocal folds with consideration of their mutual contact and the subsequent aeroacoustic simulation. The two-dimensional fluid-structure interaction problem is modelled with the aid of linear elastic problem coupled to the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in the arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian form. The contact treatment is briefly introduced. The propagation of sound sources is described by either the Lighthill acoustic analogy or the Aeroacoustic Wave Equation method. The frequency analysis of equivalent sound sources are given. Finally the resulting frequency spectra for phonation of vowel [u:] are presented. Particularly, the modelling of contact is briefly outlined and preliminary results of FSI simulation based on the FEM is shown. Further the workflow of aeroacoustic simulation is described and commented.
