EFFECT OF SURFACE CLEANLINESS ON THE ADHESION OF GLASS GLUED JOINTS
Original language description
The article deals with the theory of bonding and the creation of bonded joints, especially variants of joints where at least one of the materials to be bonded is glass. The thesis describes the bonding technology. The next section describes two types of adhesives and surface pretreatments to provide better adhesion. The thesis also describes the tests used to verify the strength of bonded joints. The experimental part is divided into the determination of the effect of surface preparation to improve adhesion and surface cleanliness, and the determination of adhesion and fracture type in the tearoff adhesion test. The last experiment is dedicated to determine the force required to break the joint by means of the shear strength test of overmolded bonded glass joints under tensile loading.
