In the theoretical part, the paper deals with a general overview of surface pretreatments and the division of pretreatments. The practical part deals with the evaluation of surface pretreatments for selected bonded joints. Three different surface pretreatments (degreasing, blasting, etching) are performed on glass samples, followed by roughness measurements using a roughness meter from Mitutoyo, and then the selected adhesive is applied. The effect of the selected pretreatments and the selected adhesive on the durability and failure mode of the bonded joint is investigated
