The paper deals with application of electrically assisted turbocharging (HP e-Turbo, e- Booster without downstream intercooling) for the case of 2-stage turbocharged largebore gas SI ICE. The main focus is put on steady state operation under different load levels while varying NOx level (according to TA Luft norm) – different sensitivity studies were performed. Transient performance is also considered. Detailed analysis of data was carried out – main advantages and disadvantages of considered turbocharging configurations were drawn while comparing these with standard configuration(s).
