Original language description
QPmR is python implementation of quasi-polynomial based rootfinder, algorithm for finding roots of given quasi polynomial in given rectangular region in complex plane. Developed from works that are described in Vyhlidal, T., and Zítek, P. (2009). Mapping based algorithm for large-scale computation of quasi-polynomial zeros. IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 54(1), 171-177. DOI: 10.1109/TAC.2008.2008345 and Vyhlidal, T. and Zitek, P. (2014). QPmR-Quasi-polynomial root-finder: Algorithm update and examples. In: Delay Systems: From Theory to Numerics and Applications, vol. 1, Editors: Vyhlídal T., Lafay J.F., Sipahi R., ISBN 978-3-319-01694-8; Springer, 299–312. DOI: 10.1007/978-3-319-01695-5_22.

QPmRpythonPackage
Technical parameters
QPmR is an open source python package licensed under GPL-3.0 license for computing the rightmost (stability determining) roots of characteristic quasi-polynomials of (retarded and neutral) time delay systems consisting of : (i) implementation of Quasi-Polynomial mapping-based Rootfinder with automatic region selection and root multiplicity heuristic (ii) tools for analyzing decisive spectral properties of quasi-polynomials (distribution diagram, asymptotes, safe upper bound for neutral spectrum and spectrum envelope) (iii) functions for quasi-polynomial manipulation (arithmetic operations, derivative and antiderivative, etc.) (iv) module for plotting results. This package also contains benchmark examples and tests. It is available on python package index and it is pip installable, see https://pypi.org/project/qpmr/.
Economical parameters
QPmR Python package is scientific open source sofware that might become leading tool for evaluation of the stability of time delay systems both retarded and neutral. Moreover, this package provides crucial support for advanced controller design for time delay systems that are ubiquitous in applications. Implementation cost is estimated 150000 CZK.
