Combined Adhesive Joints – Glass and Aluminium Alloys/Zinc
Original language description
The work evaluates the influence of surface pretreatment on the strength of adhesive joints between glass and aluminum alloys or hot-dip galvanized steel. Three preparation variants were tested – no treatment, cleaning with alcohol, and plasma activation – using Loxeal UV 30-24 UV adhesive. The surface quality was verified using test inks and a Recognoil device, and the strength was verified using a shear test. Cleaning with alcohol significantly increased the strength compared to untreated samples, with plasma activation achieving the best results. Proper pretreatment proved to be a key factor in the reliability of bonded joints.
