Optimization of Titanium Surface for Live Cells
Original language description
The present article is focused on studying the characteristics of selected titanium alloys before and after heat treatment. The structural characteristics of titanium and titanium alloys, as well as their reactions to heat treatment and different factors, have been described in detail. The specimens were cooled both in water and liquid nitrogen from 900 degrees C and 1000 degrees C for pure titanium and from 1000 degrees C and 1100 degrees C for the Ti-6Al-4V alloy. Also, the article paid attention to the PVD coating process on Ti-6Al-4V alloy. Further, the article deals with line MG63 live bone cells deposited on a titanium base substrate. Proliferation and differentiation are monitored of cells during 7-day in vitro cultivation portraying growth of cells on a biologically selected material.
