Frequency Dependence of Fault Recognition in Ultrasonic Inspection of Thin Walled Welded Joints
Original language description
A research of fault recognition in dependence on different frequencies is described in the paper. The comparisons of three used ultrasonic frequencies are made. The used frequencieswere the following" 20 MHz, 50 MHz and 100 MHz and the results of measured signals on real welded joint are published here too. A special attention is given to the possibility of fault recognition in thin walled welded joint where a lot of noise is presented. There is also discussed possibility of fault classification, that means to determine of fault dimension and depth, because these facilities are usual in standard ultrasonic inspection of bulk welded joints.
