    Noise Figure Optimization Using CAD

  • Original language description

    A modified approach for computing the noise figure by programs of PSpice type is presented. The improved method incorporates necessary circuit matching and eliminates laborious manual subtraction of load resistor's noise for each frequency involved by classical algorithms. A novel approach for analyzing the noise figure sensitivities is proposed. Using the noise figure sensitivities to a noise figure optimization is demonstrated by CAD of a microwave amplifier.
