Novel approach in the design of 2-D FIR filters using mCClellan transformation is presented. Analytical method for the contour approximation based on the parametric representation of the asteroid was developed. Based on the proposed approximation method,one example demonstates the design of the asteroidally shaped 2-D FIR filter.
