Quasipolynomial Mapping Based Rootfinder for Analysis of Time Delay Systems
Original language description
The goal of the paper is to investigate the spectra of time delay system (TDS), i.e., the spectra of poles, zeros and essential spectrum. First a brief overview of the methods that may be applied for computing the spectra of TDS is presented. The main point of the paper is an original method for computing the spectra of TDS based on mapping the quasipolynomial functions. It consists in splitting the quasipolynomial into the real and imaginary parts, mapping them and locating their intersection points asthe primary approximations of the roots. The acuracy of the roots is futher enhanced using Newton's method.
