Original language description

The subjective image quality evaluation and criteria are of increasing importance in modern multimedia systems. New and very efficient image compression techniques are useful for very high compression rates and the multimedia technology in general exploits extensive variability of transmission channels with very different data rates and capacities. The Qualityof-Service QoS parameter describes the overall quality incl. coding, transmission, recording, processing etc.
