The STEP is an ISO 10303 standard that contains methods and rules for creation models that describe products inclusive of means and methods of verification. The description of a product must be unambiguous, complete and must not contain discrepancies. Therefore the description applications (programs) that are destined to creating description product. The description of product includes information about production processes too. It is different for different branches. The application protocols are at disposal for users that ate engaged in different branches. These concrete applications give an obligatory structure of description of product.
