In this article the indoor measurement campaign in 2.45 ISM frequency band is described. Two types of measurements and data processing - narrowband and wideband - are presented. The empirical parameters for standard indoor propagation models have been derived. Time variations of WLAN signal were investigated considering both the position and the azimuthal orientation of the commercial PCMCIA WLAN card. The results enable planning of indoor WLAN network - both the coverage and QoS - for conventional usage of WLAN services (WLAN card in a notebook).
