Estimation of Omnidirectional Camera Model from Epipolar Geometry
Original language description
We generalize simultaneous linear estimation of multiple view geometry and lens distortion presented by Fitzgibbon at CVPR 2001 for an omnidirectional (angle of view larger than 180 deg) camera. The lens calibration is done from image correspondences only, without any calibration objects or any assumption about the scene. In practical situations, the proposed method allows to estimate the new model from 9 correspondences and can be thus used in a RANSAC based estimation technique.
