Empirical Comparison of Different Evolutionary Models of Genetic Algorithm with Limited Convergence
Original language description
This paper presents a novel approach to improve the performance of genetic algorithms - called Genetic Algorithm with Limited COnvergence (GALCO). Two versions of GALCO - the steady-state and the generational one - are proposed. Both versions adopt the same mechanism of self-controlling of the population diversity. We present results of the experiments and compare the performance of the steady-state and generational algorithm version of GALCO as well as the comparison of GALCO and standard genetic algorithm.
