Original language description
This presentation describes a web-based system which provides medical staff with on-line access to the latest medical research knowledge at the point of care. The objective of the system was to support the objectives of evidence based medicine (EBM). Analysis of its use in clinical practice showed that it had a significant impact on the quality of health care: it improved patient outcomes in 15% of cases and saved the patient's life in 3% of cases.
