Original language description
The influence of intermodulation distortion and channel non-linearity on the bit error rate (BER) in the communication channel is mentioned. An analog IF signal predistorter providing BER reduction, utilizing digitally controlled amplitude and phase setting of (sub)carriers is described in the paper. The role of AM/AM, AM/PM non-linear characteristics of RF power amplifiers is emphasized.
