Measurement of Diffraction on Dielectric Building Materials to Improve the Remote Sensing Data Evaluation
Original language description
The paper presents experimental verification of the diffraction on building materials to use the data later in remote sensing applications. The model of building structures was tuned with parameters, which are not generally well known - e.g. permittivityof different materials. Comparisons of computation with measured values were made for building materials at the frequencies 18 GHz and 38 GHz. Results are used as a support of quantification of remote sensing measurement and data evaluation in urban andsub-urban areas. At the end a brief insight into a diffraction theory is summarized using Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (GTD) and Uniform Theory of Diffraction (UTD) for treating diffracted field on wedge. The summary was created using many sourcesin literature and was used for described models.
