Original language description
Electromagnetic diffraction plays a key role in electromagnetic wave propagation and scattering. Some comparisons of theoretical results using Uniform Theory of Diffraction (UTD) with experimental measurement in anechoic chamber for dielectric wedge wereperformed to verify the validity of this method. When using propagation prediction methods based on ray-tracing in a built-up area, relative permittivity of building material must be known. Approximate estimation of building block electrical parameters(relative permittivity) is performed here by comparing measured values of field strength around the dielectric wedge to the theoretical computation by UTD.
