Original language description

This paper presents dispersion characteristics of metamaterials with negative permittivity and permeability, i.e., with a negative refractive index. The dispersion characteristics of left-handed parallel strips calculated by different methods are compared with each other. The calculated and measured dispersion characteristics of a new proposed left-handed coplanar waveveguide and of a new volume metamaterial are shown. These media show a negative refractive index in a wide frequency band.

Czech description

Článek prezentuje disperzní charakteristily metamateriálů, tj. materiálů se záporným indexem lomu. Charakteristiky byly počítány různými metodami a porovnány s naměřenými hodnotami. Jsou navrženy dvě nové struktury přenášející zpětnou vlnu v širokém frekvenčním pásmu: koplanární vedení a objemová struktura.
