This report is focused on a design of fail-safe interlocking and signalling systems and prediction of their dependability parameters. The architecture of the interlocking equipment is presented. The differences between fail-safe systems with inherent safety and fail-safe systems with redundant safety are described. The hypotheses for safety modelling are discussed. Different models are used for dependability characteristics computation.
