The Evaluation of Reflection Method on an Open Ended Coaxial Line and its use in Dielectric Measurement
Original language description
This paper describes a method for determination of dielectric constant of a biological tissue. For the dielectric measurement which should be nondestructive and noninvasive for the biological substance and broadband at frequency range of network analyzeris convenient a reflection method on an open ended coaxial line. A coaxial probe in the frequency range of network analyzer from 20 MHz to 2 GHz is under investigation and also a calibration technique and the behaviour of discrete elements in an equivalent circuit of an open ended coaxial line. Information about magnitude and phase of reflection coefficient on interface between a biological tissue and measurement probe is modeled by aid of electromagnetic field simulator. The numerical modeling is compared with real measurements. Comparison is presented as well.
