The presented paper deals with the vector controlled induction motor drive behaviour in case of taking into account the nonlinearity of the induction motor magnetizing inductance. The magnetizing current is optimized in order to obtain the minimal statorcurrent at the given torque, which means that the magnetizing flux is not constant.
