Original language description
This paper presents design and analysis of the DRM (Digital Radio Mondiale) transmitter based on FPGA. The modulator with FPGA performs on-carrier modulation of the complex envelope of the DRM signal. It generates phase modulated carrier and amplitude signal to be used with PSM (Pulse Step Modulation) transmitter. The system is implemented using the VHDL language. Simulations evaluating output MER and output spectrum were done. The modulator was constructed and tested with experimental PSM MW transmitter.
