Electrocardiogram Signal Classification Using Modified Ant Colony Clustering and Wavelet Transform
Original language description
An Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal analysis is extensively used as a diagnostic tool to provide information on the heart function. The complexity of the signal (inhering many factors) makes an automated analysis of the signal rather difficult to perform.Wavelet Transform (WT) is widely used for feature extraction from the ECG signal. Since the methods of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are becoming more and more proficient in data analysis (and/or data mining), this paper presents an innovated Ant Colony Clustering method for ECG analysis which works on a dataset extracted from an ECG signal using Wavelet Transform which is compared to classical clustering algorithm (classical Ant Colony Clustering and k-means algorithm).
