    Evaluation of Basic Arrangements of Three-phase Actuators with High Lift from Viewpoint of Acting Force

    Many industrial processes (such as control technologies, robotics, design of various manipulators, feeders etc.) re-quire that the action elements of corresponding devices have relatively high lift, with static characteristic as flat as possi-ble. Thesedemands obviously cannot be satisfied by actua-tors in classic arrangement. The presented paper deals with two types of actuators built on principles of a linear asyn-chronous motor, particularly actuators with planar air gap and actuators with cylindrical air gap. Their mathematical models are solved by the finite element method with the aim to find their static characteristics. The methodology is illus-trated on two typical examples whose results are discussed.
