Computer Controlled Switching Device for Deep Brain Stimulation
Original language description
This paper has two goals. The practical part deals with a design of computer controlled switching device of external stimulator for deep brain stimulation. The switching device is used during investigation with functional magnetic resonance for controlling of signals leading to deep brain stimulation(DBS) electrode in patient's brain. The motivation for design of this device was improvement of measured data quality and possibility of new types of experiments. The theoretical part of paper solves localization and modelling of hemodynamic response. The classical methods of identification, such as ARX model, and real data from experiments with functional magnetic resonance are used for modelling. The project is in cooperation with 1st Faculty of Medicineand hospital Na Homolce where deep brain stimulation is used.
