Fuzzy Logic Approach to Modeling of Bookmaker's Behaviour
Original language description
The paper deals with the problem of modeling of behavior of a bookmaker who is determining odds of sport events in betting shops. This problem is solved using methods based on soft computing, especially fuzzy linguistic systems. The model is created based on knowledge base given by an expert (a human bookmaker). As the expert knowledge can not be obtained precisely and it is expressed linguistically a fuzzy linguistic system was used to interpret it. The on soft computing based bookmaker was used to determine odds of tennis encounters and the results were compared with the odds generated by the human one.
