    Description of Plane Progressive Nonlinear Waves in Elastic Tubes

  • Original language description

    This paper deals with description of progressive plane nonlinear waves in tubes with an elastic wall. For description of the waves it is possible to use the modified Burgers equation. This equation takes into account nonlinear effects, boundary layer effects, volume heat-viscous losses and vibrations of a tube wall which cause both dissipation and dispersion of acoustic waves. It was supposed that the tube wall yield locally to the inner pressure. The Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers (KdVB) equation and the modified KdVB (Benney) equation can be derived from the modified Burgers equation when some relations are satisfied. Comparison of results of the mentioned model equations is presented in this work. Further, it is made comprehensive investigation of limitsof the used model equations with respect to a source frequency, resonant character of wall losses and a distance from the source.

    Popis nelineárních postupných rovinných vln v elastických zvukovodech

    Práce je věnována popisu postupných vln šířících se vlnovodem s elastickými stěnami. Pro tento účel byla nalezena modifikovaná Burgersova rovnice, která bere v úvahu vliv disperze, mezní vrstvy i termoviskózní ztráty. Při splnění jistých relací pro kmitočet je mžné převést modifikovanou Burgersovu rovnici na Kortewegovu-deVriesovu-Burgersovu rovnici a Benneyovu rovnici. V práci jsou porovnány výsledky všech použitých modelových rovnic, aby bzlo možné stanovit meze jejich použitelnosti.
