Vascular diseases are the most common cause of death in present time. This project describes the design of two different types of intracavitary applicators for treatment of the atherosclerosis by microwaves. Basic principle of microwave angioplastic is,that heating gained by microwave energy irradiated into artery by microwave applicator, enables safe clear out of atherosclerotic plates in the wall of vessel.
