The results of the preliminary experiments with the Medipix2 and Timepix detectors and the lobster eye optics are presented and discussed. Tests are performed with X-rays of energy about 8keV. X-ray source is imaged from variant positions. Image distortions as function of source position are described. The field of view and the spatial resolution are described.
