In this paper the main characteristics of a microwave system and an applicator for hyperthermia treatment of small in-vivo melanoma tumours are described. The results of temperature measurements on mice, show the possibility to design a protocol for hyperthermia treatment of small animal with superficial tumours for the evaluation of hyperthermia effects.
