    Metamodel Transformation with Kermeta

  • Original language description

In model-driven engineering, object-oriented meta-languages increasingly play an important role in solving problems especially when we have to deal with the rapid change of business demands nowadays. However, these meta-languages often focus more on structural specifications rather than specifications of operational semantics. This paper introduces the idea of using Kermeta - a modelling and aspect oriented programming language and environment that has the ability to add precise action specifications and increase genericity at the meta level of the design process. In this paper, several observations and answers to basic issues are presented and illustrated with a practical design example.
