Importance of Simulations in Powerline Communication Network Protocol Development
Original language description
The paper describes development and implementation of the new own network layer simulator and it's functions, advantages and optimizations. First part of the paper describes narrowband powerline communication networks for use at the last mile of data collecting systems. This part is an overview of common problems, which often occur dealing with the data transfers over power lines and shows lower layer methods to overcome them. This part implies the need of an adaptive network protocol implementation forreliable data transfers. Functionality of the new intended network protocol is also briefly described. Next part shows the need for network protocol simulation and some common network simulators are shown. Paper implies the advantages of the new own simulator implementation.
