Modeling of Far-end Crosstalk in Multi-quad Cables Based on Capacitive and Inductive Unbalances Between Pairs
Original language description
This paper deals with the modeling of far-end crosstalk between symmetrical pairs in multi-quad metallic cables. The article follows author's previous publications about far-end crosstalk modeling based on cable constructional arrangement and brings newmethods and ideas of simulations and calculations. New model will come from the mathematical and geometrical description of capacitive and inductive couplings between pairs, quads and subgroups of pairs in a cable. For the purpose of this description, new detailed and complex geometrical model should be provided and it will be also necessary to consider many effects and conditions for real situations in multi-quad metallic cable. On the other hand, resulting model will be very universal and will allow derivation and calculation of far-end crosstalk characteristics for various types of metallic cables and situations by using only few constructional parameters of selected cable.
