    Specification of the UWB Propagation Channel - Ultra Wideband Future

  • Original language description

    The large bandwidth of Ultra Wideband (UWB) systems allows an achievement of high spectral capacity and spectrum utilization. It is necessary to find right UWB pulse shape to achieve maximal amplitude or spectrum usage. The Gaussian pulse is shaped directly in time domain using multiple shaping frequencies. The basic measurement techniques of impulse systems are presented, particularly focusing on the dispersion and pulse interferences of the UWB propagation channel. Propagation aspects of two-ray approach are investigated in depth, using both measurements and simulations.
