    Utilization of MHD Pumps of Molten Metal for Cooling of Fast Nuclear Reactors

  • Original language description

    Pumps of molten metal based on magnetohydrodynamic principle represent an alternative to classical rotational pumps. These prospective devices without movable parts may advantageously be used for pumping cooling medium in some types of nuclear reactors of the fourth generation. The paper deals with the mathematical and computer modeling of their operation. The theoretical analysis is illustrated by an example whose results are discussed.
