The SS7Tracker platform is an active, non-intrusive, GSM Cell-ID-based solution to network-based location tracking. The subscriber location is retrieved using signaling messages that are sent from a single location to network core elements and to the tracked subscribers. The architecture of the platform is client-server oriented. The server side is equipped with a signaling board which acts as a GSM network signaling point. It is permanently connected to the live signaling network to communicate with mobile network nodes to ensure the location retrieval. There are two server side modules - the QueryCellId module deals with network communication, the Tracker module coordinates the tracking process.
