Iterative Design of DSP Cosine Windows by Placing Spectrum Zeros, and Some New Classes of DSP Cosine Windows
Original language description
Windows are used in digital signal processing in order to reduce leakage in spectral analysis and to estimate signal parameters in non-coherent sampling. This paper deals with design theory and presents an algorithm that enables the design of cosine windows with spectra fulfilling various prescribed properties (belonging to various window classes) and window order up to 10. The design is based on iterative window spectrum zero placing. Principle of the window design method is described, and definitionsof the new window classes and examples of designed windows are presented. A graphical user interface of the window design described in this paper in VBA-Excel is accessible free of charge on the www site http://measure.feld.cvut.cz/en/DCW.
